"Carpe Diem" - Seize the day!
- Keating: "Seize the day. Gather ye rosebuds while ye may." Why does the writer
- use these lines?
- Charlie: Because he's in a hurry.
- Keating: No. Ding! Thank you for playing anyway. Because we are
- food for worms, lads. Because, believe it or not, each and every one of us in
- this room is one day going to stop breathing, turn cold and
die.
- Those were some of the inspiring lines from my favorite film, DEAD POETS SOCIETY. To this day, I still love watching and savoring the lines and the message of this movie, to always seize the day, to always strive to find our own voice and make our lives extraordinary before its too late. Inspiring words that mean let's make our lives our masterpiece.
- Find our passion. Our life is our art. Our heart is our paintbrush and the entire universe is our canvas. It's not what you do that matters, it's how you do it and the difference that it makes.
- Let's embrace the life that we had imagined and achieve the dreams we once thought were impossible. Don't sweat the small stuff but instead always seize the day and work on making our lives our masterpiece.
- Note to self :
- "IMPOSSIBLE is one of God's favorite words”
