Happy Anniversary I Heart Faces!!!
It's been ages since my last entry at i heart faces but surely wouldn't want to miss this one. The challenge is to incorporate their logo into your pictures. While I don't think my entry would make it to the cut, it was definitely fun looking at the other entries, their creativity is really flowing and I got to learn in the process.
Go check their site and see how others played. The contest will end this Friday, you still have time to join....

Kung pamamalengke ang usapan, dyan ako di maasahan, lalo na kung ang bibilhin ko ay karne o kaya naman ay isda, baka ang mabili ko ay bilasa.
Pero pumupunta rin naman ako sa palengke lamang ay sa tuyong parte lang gaya ng bilihan ng prutas at gulay. Pag pauwi galing ng trabaho ay nadadaanan ko ang Farmers Market sa Cubao kaya madalas ay bumibili ako ng prutas dito. Madalas din ako sa SM Supermarket at Shopwise, pero matatawag bang palengke ito?

I missed some of my weekly memes due to my colds and my sprained right arm that limited most of my computer activities, the pain is somewhat lessened now and was able to browse for a candid shot to enter for this week's I ♥ Faces.

Noong galing kami ng Sagada ay sumaglit kami ng ilang oras sa Bontoc para bisitahin ang kanilang Museo bago kami pumunta ng Banawe. Maraming interesanteng mga tradisyon at kaugalian ng mga ninuno nating Igorot ang matatagpuan dito.
Mababasa mo sa karatula na ito'y kaugalian ng paglilibing ng mga taga Bontoc.....
Ang larawan naman sa ibaba ay tinatawag na "ULOG", ang tulugan ng mga dalaga habang ang tawag naman sa tulugan ng mga binata ay "ATO". Pinapakita rito ang sosyal na dibisyon at kaugalian sa pagliligawan.

While green makes me feel relaxed and at peace, orange on the other hand stirs my creative side. I always look forward to sunset whenever I'm on a trip.
We were hurrying up to catch the sunset at Mt Ampacao after spending some time at Lake Danum in SAGADA. Very evident is how the orange hue dominates the sky ...

Ang sayang pagmasdan ng mga estudyante ng St Mary's School of SAGADA na naglalakad pauwi pagkatapos ng kanilang klase.
Eto naman ay ang kapatid ko at ang aso naming si samsoon habang naglalakad papasok sa Caleruega sa may Nasugbu, Batangas.

Well, do you think they are surprised? LOL, obviously they are just acting surprised. It has become a habit for us friends to have this kind of pose and you have to utter the words "NYEEH" before I clicked the shutter, hehehe. This was popularized in Pinoy comedy sitcoms and imitated by almost everyone who are trying to deliver a funny punchline but the response is Nyeeh! (read CORNY!) We actually call this Pinoy pose, and there is also Korean pose with the V sign with matching "pa cute" look! :D

This week at Fix it Friday on I heart Faces, players can try their hands on making this already beautiful photo of a pretty young lady to something interesting and different.

Using Lightroom, I cropped the photo above to focus on the beautiful subject, then I adjusted a bit of the exposure and added some black. I also adjusted the clarity to define the colors and make it more sharp.
Here, I want to provide some dreamy effect. Using Lightroom, I cropped the photo again, lessen the clarity to provide that dreamy effect and lessen the saturation, then used vignette.

Nostalgia is that sentimental yearning for happiness of a certain place or time. I had difficulty looking for a photo that would make me feel nostalgic, sure there are lots of them that needs to be dusted off in one corner of our house but that would trigger my allergy so I just scoured my computer archive to look for a photo that would bring back memories and this is the closest I got.....
My sister and I, with our childhood icons donald duck and daisy duck. Looking at this certainly brought back childhood memories. I grew up watching them on the boob tube together with mickey mouse and the other walt disney characters and always have this fervent wish to visit Disneyland and enjoy a moment with them. That wish took plenty of years to come true until Hongkong Disneyland opened up. It was a funny and ecstatic moment running after this characters in my adulthood feeling like a kid and lining up to have our photos taken. But that was all worth it and would still want to see Disneyland in Florida even if it would take me another plenty of years. :)

My first try to play fix it friday at I heart faces and below is the original photo of a young handsome man that will be the subject for our fix it friday entries.
ORIGINAL PHOTOAnd here are my FIXES :
I use Lightroom to come up with the photo above, adjusted the exposure, fill in some lights and some blacks, adjusted the luminance and soften the skin using the adjustment brush. I also use Photoshop's unsharp mask to define the eyes.
On this one, I crop the picture and tilted it a bit. Played around the exposure, the saturation and clarity using Lightroom then processed it at Photoshop using curves, smart blur and unsharp mask.Other creative fixes can be found here.
