Having heard so many people brag about their wonderful experience in Sagada, and exploring the Caves as the most fulfilling among the many activities Sagada can offer, made me contemplate the possibility that I might just do it. What hesitates me actually is the fact that I'm not in my best form. The last time I was in a gym was 3 yrs ago. The only activity I'm doing since then is walking. That's why I know I will be "vertically challenged". My lower body is a lot heavier than my upper body. I got huge hips and thin arms, how can I carry my weight? I know from that alone, cave connection is not for me.

So I settled to just check Sumaguing Cave and originally planned to just go down until that popularly known cave formation the " King's Curtain" and just take lots of pictures and then retreat back and wait for my companions who will go deeper where the freezing water flows. Just the thought of crossing the freezing water is enough reason for me to back out. (Then I imagined myself waiting at the opening of the cave for at least an hour, alone by myself and with a big LOSER sign on my head ... waah, no way!!! I have to give this a try) So after careful thought and ceaseless prodding by my group mates, I moved on with caution and a prayer and after a few minutes, I said to myself this is not as hard as I initially thought. Our tour guide Ben Calpi from SAGGAS group is doing everything possible to assist each one of us, be it using his body to transport us from one point to another. There are small openings that we need to fit ourselves, from which the size is the same as the diameter of my hips, ha ha - Then came this portion where there is a 2 meter long and 7 feet deep freezing cold water separating us to the other side and there's a rope that we need to cling to in order to transport us on the other side. Our guide will anchor his feet to assist our steps while his one hand on the rope and his other hand holding the lamp (see how easy it is for him, really amazes me!) While I glided with my two hands on the rope and my foot firmly stepping on Ben's foot, I really thought it was easy, until that last step - I'm almost there, ready to sit down - but instead I slipped and let loose of my hold on the rope and plunged into the freezing water. Two second of panic mode and then I emerged and then swiftly pulled out by Ben... Whoa, I made a scene and cause some panic, but what the heck, it was an exhilarating experience. The cold water is really something as if ,it has some magical power that made me energized. Well I'm proud to say, I'm the only one from our group who had the most unforgettable experience in Sagada worthy to blog about .... look I came out unscathed. Proud to have survived Sagada!!! I even have a certificate to prove it. yehey !!!

I love looking at good pictures and somehow dream of becoming a good photographer. This pictures taken by Simon Hoegsberg makes me more eager to pursue this dream.

Take a look at this amazing 100 meter long picture featuring different people taken on the same spot in Berlin, same time on succeeding dates....

Just looking at it gives me an overwhelming desire to be on that spot and take that great shot! You can make a great story just by merely looking at the different emotions that were captured by this amazing photographer Simon Hoegsberg.

I'm not a fanatic of Chinese Horoscopes or Feng Shui for that matter but I make it a point to check my yearly forecast because somehow it really made sense for me. Manila Bulletin always have this special supplement to welcome Chinese New Year and I never fail to get a copy. I'm not a Chinese but for the past three years I've celebrated Chinese New Year with my family.

I'm a Dog and it says that this year is not really the best year for me. But there are certain measures I could take to improve my forecast like attend only happy events like birthdays and weddings. Give to charity and be humble. I summarized the 12 month forecast and took note of the most important ones.

Careerwise.....
It will be a challenging year for me so I need to keep a low profile and be humble..... (hmmm I can do that, I'm always low profile and humble) . Be generous so blessings will continue to flow. ...(hmmm no problem, I've always been generous) Dont change career and dont sign any contract without studying the terms carefully.

Money Luck....
Money luck is promising for the first half of the year.... ( I need to double my efforts for the second half). Work hard earn more! Dont get involve with risky ventures that promises big returns. Dont be a guarantor. Be self reliant.

Travels....
Travelling gives me a certain high but I'm also very cautious with my safety. So I take note of the DO's and DONT's like I need to avoid dangerous water activities.

Health.....
I'm prone to digestive and respiratory problems. Solution is to get fit, eat healthy and dont stay out late at night. Dont go to funerals and dont visit sick people to avoid attracting negative energy.

Lovelife....
Hmmm, I will only be interested if it says I will finally meet the man of my dreams otherwise I will just skip this part, hehe, I've started to believe this guy is non existent LOL .......

And by the way my lucky colors are Black and Blue ... well they've been a favorite eversince
.

To sum it up ..... Feng Shui is just plain common sense but then common sense has become rare nowadays, so these guidelines will sure come in handy

One thing for sure, I will take note of all of this but the most important thing for me to remember is "Why Worry When You Can Pray" I lift it up all there to the BEST GUY up there!

It was Jan 6, 2009, my sister called me while I was taking my lunch coz I got a phone call from Shopwise..... I wonder what it was, maybe a promotional offer whatsoever but I took it nonetheless (well I have a habit of not taking calls from unknown individuals who would just waste my time especially when I'm in the middle of doing something important like eating my lunch). Anyway, to my big surprise it was a call to inform me I won one of the consolation prizes of their Christmas Promo. I remember then that I submitted quite a handful number of raffle tickets I got when I did my Christmas grocery shopping last Dec 21. Well, there were few pieces left that I wasn't able to fill up because my hands were quite tired writing the same thing over and over again and I said my chances of winning is very remote considering the bulk of entries that will be raffled. I didn't submit it on the same day I did my grocery shopping, but I made sure I will drop it off the day before my Christmas vacation since I wont be in the Cubao area during my Christmas break. Anyway, I didn't win the grand prize which is a Chevrolet Captiva ( I was actually hoping to hear this from the girl who called me but I already have a feeling just from the tone of her voice, that I just won a consolation prize). But then still its a big blessing and I thank God for this gift ........ A 20,000 pesos worth of Shopwise Gift Certificates

Here's a scan copy of the letter I got from Shopwise with my winning raffle ticket....

Well, this is a valid proof that raffle promos from legit companies really work ........ you're either lucky or not (once upon a time I also won a ducati bike, well I'll tell you about it next time) .... for now I must say this year started really good for me!!! Im hoping it will continue till next year. I really pray so .......

My 20,000 worth of GC ..... yipppeeee!!!

this is it........ dont ask me how I spent it, hehe but one thing for sure me and my family benefited from this gift
