Coronwonders, the tour organizer we hired, booked us at Darayonan Lodge. It has a homey atmosphere and just located within the town proper where most establishments are easily accessible even by foot.
We got 2 deluxe family rooms that accommodated 4 heads each. It has a private bathroom equipped with shower heaters and with amenities like 21" TV, ref-minibar, writing desk, closets and veranda. All these for just PhP 581.25/day per head with breakfast included. The place has lush and spacious garden, multi purpose hall and nipa gazebo.

The lodging staff would make you choose the night before, what's your preferred breakfast and the time you want it served. I enjoyed my tapsilog on the first day and corned beef silog on the second day and of course an overflowing coffee or tea included.

4 years: My Daddy can do anything!
7 years: My Dad knows a lot…a whole lot.
8 years: My father does not know quite everything.
12 years: Oh well, naturally Father does not know that either.
14 years: Oh, Father? He is hopelessly old-fashioned.
21 years: Oh, that man-he is out of date!
25 years: He knows a little bit about it, but not much.
30 years: I must find out what Dad thinks about it.
35 years: Before we decide, we will get Dad's idea first.

I'm such a huge fan of Jason Mraz, the singer, the song writer and an active blogger writing about worthy causes and its a habit to constantly check his updates on freshness factor five thousand blog (you can view it on my blog list).
I just enjoyed watching this cover version of his popular song I'm Yours, definitely unique and so much fun. See for yourself ......

Meron ding dragon dance ......

Just saw from the news today that the World Health Organization has just declared a global pandemic alert after 41 years since they declared global flu epidemic in 1968 that killed an estimated of 1 million people worldwide.
Infections have climbed here in the Philippines and everywhere, alarming me and my love ones and I'm sure everyone of us.
Last night my sister brought home some flu vaccines while my other sister who is a nurse administered the flu shots. I've learned that this vaccine will not protect us from this swine flu virus but at least it will shield us from the regular influenza virus for a year. Somehow this would give me a bit of assurance that I'm protected from the regular flu virus and that I have this first line of defense against the AH1N1 virus.
It's been ages since I had a vaccine and receiving this one was not easy, really! But my father was more hesitant, making more excuses to delay the shot, and he is a military man, would you believe? hahaha. Most guys I know are really scared of needles and my father is not an exception but in the end he's got no choice! :)

Haay pangarap! .... sana matupad ko :)

ADVERTISEMENT is this week's theme for PHOTOHUNT.
I'm doing a real advertisement because of my love for SAGADA.
Welcome to another cool hangout, eating place called LEMON PIE HOUSE.
The rustic look outside and the cozy ambiance inside
added more character to this lovely place.
My group had our sugar fix here while in chillax mode,
feeling like we're just in the comforts of our homes.
When you visit Sagada, don't fail to drop by Lemon Pie House
and try their famous lemon pie and combine that with
their freshly brewed mountain tea or coffee.
They also offer regular meals and other equally yummy tasting pies.
That's an egg pie and a lemon pie.... Oh, Im craving for them right now!

I'm guilty!!! waahhhh!!! ....
Before getting carried away ....... I'm guilty of using too much of soft 2ply tissue paper!!
I was bloghopping among my blog links and got stucked reading Jason Mraz current post entitled DEEP SH*T. Yeah, I'm actually one of the billion users of soft 2ply tissue paper and a heavy user at that. While I'm advocating friends to live simply and sustainably and promote a low-carbon lifestyle by using less of the earth's finite resources and conserving energy .... here I found out I'm indirectly contributing harm to my environment... how sad!
HOW???
To produce this soft, fluppy paper, companies need to harvest billions of virgin trees and that would eventually mean less oxygen in our environment which means GLOBAL WARMING! The effects are even more harmful than the gas consumptions and emissions of our vehicles. Read this article to know better.
SO OUR ASSES ARE IN TROUBLE? (Pls excuse the word)
Definitely! I can't do my regular bathroom business without a soft tissue on hand. One roll could last me 3 days, really! Well, now I know I have to look for recycled tissue paper, no longer soft but at least it will serve its purpose .... And before I give you the wrong notion, my tissue paper use comes before water and soap. I think using more lotion afterwards will do the trick, hahaha....yeah I know its ewww. But really, I will try to use less paper, probably half of my current consumption.
I will definitely look for this KIND since I can't live without a TISSUE PAPER!!!

Thrilled to be included in Mom Writes For A Cause Top 10 list of Emerging Influential Blogs for 2009. The nomination coming from Yami is already an honor for me. Visit her site to see her complete list of nominees.
Such a welcome surprise to be considered influential .... in a positive manner I hope :)
The basic premise to be considered in the nomination is that the blog started within the period from May 1, 2008 up to the present. Shie's Asylum was created just April of 2009 during the observance of the holy week. There's a concern as to the date Shie's Asylum was created since my archive showed 1 entry each for 2005 and 2006 and those entries were here because I imported them from my friendster blog here and here, just copied the same date to make it accurate. My Google Analytics settings will prove that the activities of this blog started only April of 2009.
It's a long shot to be able to make it to the final Top 10 list of winners as there are a lot of excellent bloggers deserving of the title. But I'm taking this a challenge to inspire me to continue doing my best...... aja, aja! ;)
