Ask Me First, I Might Say YES

Weekly Photo Memes

BOOKS is this week's theme for PHOTOHUNT
This photo was taken from  YOGHURT HOUSE,
one of my favorite eating place in SAGADA.
They have one corner there where they sell Used Books for just 20 pesos.
I was browsing for some interesting read, planning to buy some
when my friend reminded me to hurry up since we
have a scheduled Spelunking activity in 10 minutes.

strawberry taho

Alam mo ba?
Kahit hanggang ngayon kapag may pagkakataon at
I was about to post an entry for Litratong Pinoy, but since I can't find my card reader, I'll just do it tomorrow....

For the meantime, I visited Photofunia and I got excited upon seeing new photo effects I can try out ......

This one is my favorite ..... STENCIL

Another effect, using my other pic .... VINTAGE TV Sets

And this one....... CAPTIVITY

LOL)

This is Sam who fell asleep while playing with his plastic toy

Plastic sundries like buttons and zipper I usually see at work .....

This week's Photohunt is about Plastic.
Well, plastic stuffs have become part of my daily life....
These are just a fraction of those.

Watching this season's finale was really a treat. Music greats performed lived on stage .... I think this is the most jam packed finale the American Idol ever had. The highlight for me was the duet of Keith Urban and Kris Allen.... hotness!!! Also worth mentioning is that Boom Boom Pow performance from Black Eyed Peas, Santana's performance with the Idols, and of course that of Queen's.

And because I always root for the underdogs, I was ecstatic upon hearing Ryan announced Kris Allen won. He is the perfect paradigm of a "Dark Horse". Imagine from obscurity with no fanfare at all, he emerged as a contender. He was downplayed heavily by the judges and producers even up to the finale. But despite all odds, he was still there, winning the admiration of a lot of people. It's a realization that success in the music industry does not purely rely on how high the note you can reach but it is a combination of charisma and musical talent and ingenuity. Kris Allen definitely has all three qualities and his humility played a big factor. The song "No Boundaries" suited him best....

Listen to 'No Boundaries'

No Boundaries by Kara DioGuardi (”Kara’s Song”)

Seconds hours so many days
You know what you want but how long can you wait
Every moment last forever if you feel you’ve lost your way
What if my chances are already gone
Started believing that I could be wrong
But you give me one good reason
to fight and never walk away

Coz here I am — still holding on!

Every step you climb another mountain
Every breathe its harder to believe

You’ll make it through the pain (or through all your aches and pains)
Weather the hurricane
To get to that one thing

When you think the road is going nowhere
Just when you’ve almost gave up on your dreams
Then take it by the hand and show you that you can

There are no boundaries, there are no boundaries.....

I fought to the end and stand on the edge, what if the day is as good as it gets

Don't know where the future is heading, nothing's gonna bring me down

I've jumped every bridge and I've heard every line

I've risked being safe and I always knew why

I always knew why, so here I am still holding on.

You can go higher
You can go deeper
There are no boundaries
Above and beneath you
B-reak every rule coz there’s nothing between you
and your dreams

Every step you climb another mountain
Every breathe its harder to believe

First thing that came to mind when I learned of this week's theme "Everything is Simple" of Litratong Pinoy is this photo of an Ifugao house with an old Ifugao tribesman taking some rest, showing the simple way of life in the mountains. Everything they have there is pretty basic but the beauty of nature is more than enough to compensate for whatever they are lacking.
